Hi. So, the one thing I've had issues with my Hackintosh, more than anything, has been related to networking issues. I made a post about this recently, and I've been thinking about it a lot.
At first, I thought it was the Buffalo router I'm currently stuck using, because I don't recall seeing OSX supported. But a minute ago, something got me wondering about my wireless adapter. I used all parts recommended by TonyMac to build my tower, and I totally trust whomever runs that site. The guy(s) is/are much smarter than I am, certainly.
BUT one thing is bugging me now that I've looked over the wireless adapter recommended: It does NOT list OSX as a supported OS.
I thought maybe they just left it off the box, so I went to Newegg to check the description; it's not listed there either. Thought maybe no one made a wireless PCIe adapter for OSX even though that sounded ridiculous. I found one that looks awesome for about the same price as the one I bought for my Hackintosh. It's USB, and it only runs up to like 450Mbps, but it specifically states it supports OSX.
I'm beginning to wonder if all my issues aren't with OSX's networking capabilities, but instead, all my problems are from my current wifi adapter/router having issues with OSX.
TL;DR Anyone know why TonyMac suggested a wireless adapter that doesn't specifically support OSX? Seems getting one that at least claims OSX support would be better considering any other obstacles presented with a Hackintosh build.
Thanks for your time. = )
