I'm due for a laptop upgrade shortly, and I'm looking at laptops that are hackintoshable, but I had a few questions about the process.
A few things: The laptop in question is a new 2014 model. It has an i7, a GTX 870m (with Optimus, so I believe the hackintosh can't use the GTX, but instead the Intel HD 4600), a disk drive and an Intel wifi card.
- I know Intel WiFi cards are unusable. Can I buy a MacBook Pro WiFi card and put it in the laptop, and use Apple's Bootcamp drivers?
2) Is OS X Yosemite's SMS Relay and Continuity supported on a Hackintosh? Is iMessage? I know OS X VMs have problems with. iMessage. I also know Yosemite is in beta, but I know it has Hackintosh support.
3 - How does OS upgrading work on a Hackintosh?
4: Are there any outstanding problems with a Hackintosh laptop? Or just in general with hackintosh, like things not working correctly? E.x. Sleep not working, battery problems, egg
Five, and finally, are there problems with OS X and SSDs?
