Hey guys, thought I would give this a shot with those who are Hackintoshing on their AMD rigs and need some advice/guidance. As far as the AMD rules go in this subreddit, it's technically not forbidden to talk about Hackintoshing on those processors so I thought I would give this a shot. Keep in mind I'm not an expert by any means, just here to help out those individuals that have select few questions. I've recently was able to get Mavericks 10.9.1 running on my FX-6300 and I've been Hackintoshing for about two years, so AMA.
Current setup: * Processor: AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHz * Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 (great motherboard for compatibility might I add) * GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 * Storage: Samsung 840EVO (120GB SSD), SanDisk SSD (64GB) and a regular 500GB Hard Drive * RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance * PSU: Thermaltake TR2-700W
Not all user's rigs are the same, I can't give you a definite answer as if it'll run on your machine or not without actually trying it and messing around with the boot flags, distro options, etc, but I sure as hell can point you in the right direction. Thanks for taking a look
