Every one stalled at about 25% progress on the black install screen. Never got to the OSX Yosemite installer screen.
2nd try: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html (wanted to keep iMessage working since it currently already does in Mavericks)
3rd try: http://hackintosh.zone/page/osx86.html/hackintosh/articles/macpwn/hackintosh-yosemite-instalaltion-guide-for-pc (tried since Niresh's distro of Mavericks was easily doable)
I followed all three guides to the letter and all 3 stopped in roughly the same place on the progress bar; each with a different error. It's obvious I did something wrong and I'm out of my depth here. Guess I'll have to wait for an easier, all-in-one solution at a later date. My working Mavericks copy without the video card will have to suffice until then.
