I am looking to replace a C2D system I built years ago, but it is my primary PC. By that I mean it kind of acts as a NAS for me but also running Windows and I use Premiere to edit GoPro videos that I take. Its a C2D e6400 and dealing with video is painfully slow.

So I'm looking to replace that with a new system, I very rarely do any gaming so I don't need a powerhouse video card setup. However, I would like to try and get OS X to run on this since I already have various Mac systems (Mini, MBP, and a Powerbook).

I looked at Skyline builds and was wondering if there is any glaring problem in hybridizing a couple of their suggestions. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kazhlp5n6fjz0n6/Capture.JPG?dl=0 Could I just take the motherboard from the Media build and use the i7 with it? The motherboard lists that CPU as compatible so should be good there, I don't need the expansion capabilities of the more expensive board.

As for the other stuff in the screenshot, I'm not fixed on those, they were just the skyline suggestions. I'm open to other thoughts.

Also, does anyone know if onboard LAN is going to work out of the box? Or what I'd need to do to make it work, this would be a wired system and I'd like to keep it that way rather than buying a wireless card for it.
