n00b question: What enables me to dual boot into Windows 7 or OSX?

I just built a PC (i5-4690k, ASUS Z97 Pro Wifi, EVGA GTX 770, x2 4GB 1866 MHz GForce memory, 650W PSU, Windows 7).

At what point of the install/post OS install do I indicate that I want to be able to choose between OSX or Win7 at startup? What program handles this?

edit: is there any way to set a key that I can hold down during startup to boot into OSX? otherwise it would default boot to windows?
