Hey everyone,
My imac died recently and I have decided to replace it with a hackintosh, this is my first hackintosh and my first home built computer, so I'm quite nervous about everything. Below I put a list of the hardware I picked, although I haven't bought anything yet, so if you see something that might cause problems, please let me know. Coming to my main question. I'm a photo enthusiast and decided to splurge on a nice photo editing display. Now in order for that purchase to make sense it must be connected via display port otherwise I wont get full color depth AFAIK. So is the display port usually working fine or can it be problematic like audio and wifi. Also, is the Z97 a good choice or should I go with the Z87 to be safe. And lastly should I bother with Yosemite or try Mavericks first and maybe update later? Sorry for the load of questions, hope somebody can give me some insight. Thank you.
