Hi there guys I've been running a hackintosh for over a year, I'm very happy with mavericks to the point where I'm a OSX only kinda guy now.
OSX is just so much better for me and the way I work, my problem is play, I do enjoy the odd game every now and then on steam, yes I could just boot into windows on another SSD but I would like to Game in OSX a little more, I have an AMD R7950 in my machine, its a great card and works well enough for day to day usage but when it comes to gaming it struggles a little under OSX, I understand new drivers have come out for AMD Gfx cards under 10.10.1 but I'm happy in mavericks, will the new drivers work under mavericks and will I see any improvement?

- RAM: 16GB 1333mhz
- GFX: XFX AMD R7950 3GB
- SSD0: 128GB Corsair Force 3 SSD
- Bootloader: Clover 2957
tl;dr Anyway I can improve performance with 3d stuff while staying on mavericks, will upgrading to Yosemite help here?
