Hi everybody, so the last week I've been installing Snow Leopard on a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook and had it perfect the other day. Was updated to 10.6.8 (no easy task) and then while installing programs, I stupidly installed FaceTime and tried signing in. Got an error message (no customer code) and so I thought, what if I changed the system definitions with Multibeast. Long story short, didn't work, and I've reinstalled 10.6.3. At least 10 times. I repair permissions, run Netbook Installer Special, place the legacy_kernel at the root of the HD and ran the combo update. Always leads to Install Failed. When I reboot, it just boots to a black screen, leading to another reinstall. This is driving me nuts. Yes I had a time machine backup, but when I try to restore it, it says that the backup was created by another model of Mac and cannot be used (thanks Multibeast lol) so I'm at a loss and hope someone can help. Thanks in advance
