I finally got around to hackintoshing my system. It now duals boots Windows 8.1 and yosemite with clover bootloader

CPU Intel i5 4690k
Mobo MSI Z97 MPOWER MAX AC
RAM 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1866mhz
GPU MSI N760 Hawk

First, I had to upgrade my BIOS as I had no option to disable CFG lock. Updating to 1.7 was very easy.

I loaded optimized defaults (F6) and disabled VT-D tech and CFG lock.

To create my USB I used the exact settings from this guide. I used the standard config file and did not do the optional DSDT step. I also did not include an ethernet kext and did the installation with my ethernet cable unplugged.

This allowed me to get the install going. I formatted my drive with disk util and then finished the installation. After which I was greeted with this beautiful view.

I installed Clover in the ESP following STEP 4 from the guide. To fix ethernet I used Multibeast to install the latest AppleIntelE1000e kext (while unchecking everything else). Audio was working from the start for me as I am using a DAC.

I had some problems logging into the app store but I quickly fixed this following the advice from kurosagi and JasonHears.

iCloud seems to be working fine. iMessage is not working at the moment.

Hopefully this is helpful to someone.
