Hey there! First time on the subreddit.
Successfully just installed and configured a hackintosh without too much trouble. This is my second one, first one I did ran OS X 10.6 a few years back, currently this build is running 10.9.
So my problem, which I hope someone has a solution or advice, is as follows...
The hackintosh is my main build and initially had windows 8.1 on a Sandisk 256gb SSD. Decided to use my old WD blue 500gb to dualboot with OSX mavericks. Successful, set it up pretty easy with little to no problems, all working. However, when trying to boot back into windows, I change the SATA mode back to IDE, and boot onto my SSD, where I get the dreaded boot0: error. I get the same error when going through chimera trying to boot windows. I guess that windows boot manager is corrupted, I am a bit rusty with how boot managers work, but I thought as they're on two separate drives, they would act as two different systems? Would popping in a recovery and rebuilding the bootloader for windows sort it? Or would that somehow affect chimera and OSX?
If anyone has any advice or tips, i'd be really grateful!
