I've been reading a lot and watching a bunch of videos about building a Hackintosh, and I was really interested. I even planned out a build I'm hoping to build this summer. However, the more I watched I kinda started to wonder - is it worth it..?

Just to get it out of the way: I DO want to build a Hackintosh. I'm just worried that OSX updates will take so much effort that it will end up being more of a hassle.

I guess my real question is whether or not it's really that difficult to keep the OS working? Some videos I've watched make it seem like a Hackintosh needs constant maintenance in terms of OS updates, and there's always a chance that an update will render the entire system unusable due to problems with the hardware. Is that true, or have I just been misinformed?

Thanks, and sorry for the kinda wordy post.

E: Another thing I forgot to add... I'm planning on dual booting Windows and OSX; will an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 impact the OSX at all? My instincts are telling me no, but I just want to double check.

Here is the part list if you have an input on that as well.
