So, I decided to see if I could install Yosemite alongside an existing Windows 7 installation. I followed the steps on tonymacx86 using Unibeast and Multibeast. Installed everything on a separate HDD. After installation of Yosemite and after applying Multibeast I got a kernel panic after the kernel was dealing with some ACPI kext. Decided to boot into Windows 7 instead but then it told me that there was no mgr or some sort. So I inserted the Windows 7 DVD and tried a bunch of stuff from there, like repair the master boot record from a command prompt and such, but to no avail. I am typing this from my old trusty MacBook while Windows 7 is reinstalling :(.
It seems that OSX has trouble with my motherboard's power saving settings or something, although it's a Gigabyte motherboard.
Thing is, is there a guide somewhere on how to safely install OSX alongside Windows 7?
