Hi,

I was enjoying a dual boot OSX 10.10.2 + Windows 7 Ultimate partition scheme, perfectly working. Both of them resided on the same SSD drive (128 GB for each).

I installed W7 (long ago) and then, after it worked, OSX.

I needed W8.1 instead of W7, so I backuped all my windows stuff (not much, thankfully), and then proceeded to install W8.1 from my USB stick.

W8.1 installer boots perfectly, detecting my 2 disks: OSX + W7 and then my Data disk with its 4 partitions.

Obviously I wanted to erase the W7 partition of my SSD, so I did it. My surprise came when after formating this partition, W8.1 refuses to isntall onto it with the dreaded 0x80300024 "I'm stubborn, I won't install there" error.

I've started to read many things about this error, and mainly all of them are the same: "I kind of screwed my otherwise sleek dual boot same ssd installation, as I can't install w8.1 after osx is installed in the first partition of my ssd".

Obviously I don't want to reinstall my OSX partition as it just took me 1 month of horrible fine tuning and tweaking to reach my OSX seamless experience.

Is reinstalling W8.1 in one of my normal HD data partition my only chance ? Couldn't I tweak Windows 8.1 installer somehow withouth damaging my perfectly working OSX installation, and installing W8.1 onto my now free former windows 7 partition area?

I hope my doubts are somewhat understandable. Please, ask if something is unclear.

Thanks in advance.
