I was wondering if there was a way to trick the installer into thinking my CPU was supported. With VirtualBox, this helped me boot into it, and I think it may work again. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3531, unmodified. The specs:

4 GB RAM

Intel HD Integrated Graphics

Intel Celeron N2830 processor 2.40GHz

I have been told numerous times that it is not possible to install OS X onto my laptop, and I've been told that it is possible.

I believe that it is possible to get it working, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get Yosemite installed onto my hard drive.

TL;DR:

Laptop can run Yosemite from VirtualBox if I trick it to think my CPU is supported. Trying to boot from USB to actually install it on my system doesn't work. Is it possible to trick the installer to think my CPU is supported?
