I'm using a Gigabyte Z68-AP-D3, i5-2400, 8 GB RAM, Gigabyte GTX960. I've used tonymacs methods but finally got it stable with a MacPWN install. Either method lets you do legacy clover or uefi clover, but tonymac recommends legacy for my 6-based board, so Ive used that.

I have to use the nv_disable=1 flag at first. Eventually once I get it going I use Clover Configurator to set the SMBIOS as an iMac13,1 which has always worked since Mavericks. Now though when booting with Clover on the SSD w/ OS X, I get "Sound assertion errors in Apple HDADriver". At first I had use the El Cap MultiBeast and added sound, so I thought that had something to do with it, but forums have mentioned that the Sound Assertion errors could be graphics related. I find this strange as the previous boot showed full graphics (not stretched) and I was able to use the flag nvda_drv=1 (I have to). Then I installed the Logitech driver only, and now I get the errors.

The Z68AP-D3 is a little outdated but has never let me down. I have no need to upgrade but is it worth going to a z77-based board for easier install and compatibility? I did the same setup for my girlfriend with the same board and processor but used a GTX650Ti, and haven't had issues. Plus since I've got it briefly working I know I can get it working to the fullest? What flag(s) should I be using and what else should I do? Thank you for your help and answers.

PS. I upgraded the BIOS to UEFI a long time ago and I'm using UEFI and legacy in the boot settings, have full screen logo off and fastboot off. No overclocking, ACHI for hard drives. Is there a different setting I should use?
