Hey, i posted this in buildapc but thought id ask here too. Building a hack for my friend. Its a bit ridiculous, well beyond anything i could dream of speccing, but he wants what he wants. Any thoughts?

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

This machine will be primarily used for professional level music production, with huge compositions made up of multiple layers and samples etc. Its secondary uses will be for VR gaming (probably a HTC Vive) and standard 4k gaming.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)

4k, 60fps.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

£3700

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

Uk.

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below.

So firstly, I wanna point out this build isnt for me but a friend. He wants 3 things. The best money can buy. A hackintosh. A white/blue theme.

Ive built hackintoshs before, but i know this one could cause issues due to the hardware selected. Ive looked into all the components and i know that this particular CPU has issues, but with a modified kernal and a bit of other tinkering i believe they do work (on yosemite). One hard drive will immediately have windows installed on it so if it does take a little while to get the hackintosh side of things running, the machine will be usable.

I'd like to hear any comments. Its a lot of money to spend and ive got the repsonsiblity to select everything. For the budget, is this in the right direction? Anything missing?
