Hi everybody, so I've been mostly quiet for about the last week or so because I really wanted to dig into Clover and booting from the efi. I've finally got a (mostly) stable Yosemite build on my Asus K53E laptop with an i5 Sandy Bridge 2450M, integrated Intel HD3000 graphics and 4GB ram. Lil background. I had Yosemite up last week but it turned out that I was booting in Legacy mode, installed from a legacy USB drive with Multibeast. iMessage and FaceTime were not working, sleep/wake and audio, and battery also not working. So I, like a lot of others made the switch to Clover, got that up but was still booting legacy as it turned out, so I recreated my clover USB for UEFI booting only. I installed in UEFI, everything was successful but no matter what I did, whenever I installed clover for UEFI boot on my HD, I would always get the Please Select Boot Drive error as soon as my PC started. So the only way that I could get it installed and booting from the efi was by installing in the esp/Boot0af in the MBR combo (I tried at least a dozen ways in various configs and it simply would NOT work) so now, I really dug into my config file, got each section very detailed for my PC, inserted rom and MLB values, serial numbers etc. and I've gotten it to the point where iMessage and FaceTime work oob upon install and initial sign in. Audio also works oob. Serial numbers etc, all being injected correctly. And the system as a whole runs perfect. But two things keep plaguing me: No matter what I try, I cannot get sleep/wake to function at all (dsdt and ssdt are in patched folder) I'm using VooDooHDA 2.8.5 for audio and also my microphone does not work. It's recognized, but the input does not function. I saw a response to a thread that HackinDoge responded to about a guy using VooDoo and his volume was too low. He linked to an article at InsanelyMac that recommended opening the plist for VooDoo and changing the value from false to true for EnableVolumeHalfFix. I tried this, and also noticed a reference to MicVolumeHalfFix. I also set that to true. When I rebooted the speakers squealed horribly so I just restored the original plist and said I'll come back to that later. Also using VooDoo battery which ATM isn't working but that should be relatively easy getting that back. So any help that can be offered on the Power Management front or Mic front would be greatly appreciated.
