Hey there! I am having an issue with my fresh Mavericks install.

System specs:

  • GTX 780

  • ASrock z87 extreme6

  • i7 4770k

I had to patch the mach_kernel, as suggested here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-laptop-support/114677-haswell-early-reboot-mavericks-locked-msrs-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq.html in order to launch the Unibeast USB.

And I had to install chameleon in order for the USB not to throw an error when launching the install.

I installed Mavericks and updated the mach_kernel on the SSD using terminal. It now matches the one needed for the USB, as suggested in the thread above. I am still using chameleon as my bootloader.

When I go to launch the SSD that has the Mavericks install, the following is what happens under each circumstance:

Launching with no flags: It sits at the apple logo with no errors shown. The loading circle spins for eternity.

Launching with -f: It sits at the apple logo with no errors shown. The loading circle spins for eternity.

Launching with -x: It shows a loading bar and the apple logo and then throws this error...

Launching with -v: It never reaches the apple logo and freezes at this point...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
