Hello /r/hackintosh,

I'm brand new to the Hackintosh scene, using Macbooks for the past six years and becoming comfortable (perhaps a bit too comfortable) with OSX and the Apple ecosystem.

Then I found the Razer Blade.

I bought the New QHD+ 2015 Razer blade without thinking about the software that would be put on it, Windows 10. The Blade is a gorgeous machine, however my question is quite simple, and you probably have already guessed it by now.

I would like to go a bit further than simply asking the question "Is it possible?"

I've been lurking around the TonyMacX86 forums lately and have had very little luck in this area. I've spoken to a few people who have outlined the major issues with putting OSX on the Razer Blade.

  • The graphics being a GTX970M card and Intel HD 4600 (I think?) - Retina Macbooks have a card in the 5000 range.
  • Graphics switching (discrete is it called?) - The fact that I have to edit the BIOS (or something else) to disable the automatic switching between the 970 and the 4600 for graphics to even run
  • The wifi card not being a Broadcom chip, and Apple's wireless API not being published, resulting in a lack of usable drivers.

I've tried VMs, I've tried ElementaryOS, but they just don't compare.

In case I haven't made it clear, I'm attempting to dual-boot OSX 10.10 and Windows 10.

The main purpose I posted this is not only to hopefully receive some guidance on some of the issues outlined above and how to circumvent or fix them, but hopefully help some others put OSX on a laptop that feels and looks as nice as a Macbook.

Thanks all!
