Microsoft's new operating system Windows 8 will be available worldwide at midnight tonight (25-10-12). The dual-boot process will most likely be very similar to past versions of Windows. We will be installing it and testing for any changes and differences. For now, it's safe to say that this will be a simple update from any version.
Feeling a bit of price pressure from Apple's OS X Mountain Lion, Microsoft has priced the Windows 8 update at $39.99 for existing users of Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 via download or $69.99 via DVD. The download for upgrade existing PCs in more than 140 markets and 37 languages goes live at Midnight local time at http://www.windows.com/buy. For those lucky enough to live or work near a Micro Center they are offering the Windows 8 Professional Upgrade DVD for $38.88 in-store, and can be pre-orderedhere.
