So after installing Mountain Lion using iATKOS ML3U on my Windows 8 laptop, I am unable to boot into either OS. Booting Mountain Lion with -v results in various error messages that cause the system to hang with no CPU activity. Booting the Windows partition results in a black screen. I cannot boot at all without the iATKOS formatted USB as it jumps straight to the BIOS after the power button is pressed.
One of the error messages while booting Mountain Lion says something along the lines of Windows is hibernated. It seems that because Windows 8 uses the UEFI fast boot (actually hibernates when you press shutdown) I am unable to boot into Windows as its not shut down completely. Turning fast boot on and off in then BIOS does nothing and it still says that Windows is hibernated when booting Mountain Lion.
I would like to get at least one of these OSes working (preferably Windows).
Any thoughts?
