I recently bought a mac mini and upgraded the hard drive myself. My question is now that I have the old hard drive from the mac mini as a spare (with all the original software and system already installed) what's preventing me from just putting that hard drive in my laptop and booting into osx? Is there special configurations I'd have to set in my bios to get it to work or is this something that will never realistically work?
