Ok so this might seem like sacrilege in this subreddit but it is Hackintosh related.
Basically I scored a free iMac and so I sold on my Hackintosh. Before hand I did a Time Machine backup of all my stuff, I've gone from Hackintosh to real Mac before this way in the past so felt comfortable doing so.
However after installing a clean Mavericks build onto my iMac and then running migration assistant, the Mac has not only pulled across my user data from the backup but also my kexts and hack files from my hackintosh too and it has totally screwed my installation. I've lost audio, networking and I'm getting GPU errors and kernel panics.
I need all of the data in my TM backup so my question is, how do I get my data across without bringing hack files too? I'm finding it confusing because naturally my kexts etc were and still are in root and yet somehow they're being brought over even though I only choose my user account.
The only thing I've tried which didn't work was to install Mavericks again over the top of my existing user account but no dice. It still booted those unwanted kexts.
Suggestions?
