Here are my specs:
- OS - Mavericks
- CPU - Intel i5 2500 3.3GHz (x64, Sandy Bridge)
- GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti (2GB. The Ti edition acts more like a 7XX GPU)
- RAM - 8GB DDR3
- RES - 1080p
I know that OS X natively supports the GTX 660 Ti, but when playing games like most of Valve's Source engine titles (HL2, Portal, L4D, CS: Global Offensive) there's a ton of stuttering when I aim, turn and shoot. To add, Minecraft will run at 20-30FPS.
I'm not sure it's an issue of crappy porting, because Valve specifically worked on OS X ports of their games, and Minecraft is developed primarily on Macs, and has been supported on OS X for a while.
