I built a desktop using the this Snow Leopard build from 2009, and it's been a great little machine that's been plugging away for nigh on 4 years now.
I also just installed mavericks on my laptop, and I'm wondering if my old desktop can handle it. I'm not looking for huge performance, but it's where I keep my video/iTunes/eBooks, and I'm actually interested in having iBooks separate my ebook library from iTunes.
In particular, the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UDP3. Anyone know whether I can make it work on old hardware? ...source
