I built a dual boot Mavericks and Windows 8 Hackintosh using the Unibeast and Multibeast installation method.
So far everything else seems to work great except for sound and App Store/iCloud. No devices show up in input or output in system preferences, not even internal speakers (I don't have any but I read in another post that even if you're using external speakers choosing internal might help).
When I try to sign into iCloud it says "Unable to sign in because of a problem communicating with iCloud" and when I try to sign into the App Store it says "an unknown error has occurred" (and yes, I'm sure I'm using the right login credentials because they work fine on my iPhone or the web version of iCloud).
I don't know if it's relevant to the no sound on Mac, but on Windows I do have sound, although there are some distortions (intermittent crackling if I plug my headphones into the cheap external speakers or parts of audio being lower or higher depending on what port I use if I plug my headphones directly into them).
I've been trying to get some help on Tonymacx86 about what Multibeast installation type/settings to use but so far I'm not getting any.
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H - LGA-1150
Intel Core i5-4670k 3.4 GHZ Quad-Core 6 MB Cache
Gigabyte GTX 760 GDDR5-2GB 2xDVI/HDMI/DP OC WINDFORCE 3X
When I first installed I used the newest version of Multibeast and the DSDT-free option.
Can someone please let me know what installation type/settings of Multibeast I should use to fix these problems?
Thank you.
