Hi, I'm looking to make my first build. I want it to be a Hackintosh and also run Ubuntu. I don't know much about computers, but I'm trying to learn. I have a roommate that knows quite a bit and can help me put it together and figure out Ubuntu. He doesn't know much about Macs though.
I've been searching through this sub and /r/buildapc. I don't have much money otherwise I'd get this macmini build. Could I get a cheaper motherboard? Could I only get one stick of 4gb ram? Could I get a 60 gb ssd? And would I need the wifi card?
There is also this, which was recommended as a cheap linux box on reddit. Would this work?
I could really use some advice and suggestions are very welcomed. I would ~300. I also could use suggestions on like wireless mouse and keyboard that would work both in Ubuntu and in Mavericks.
