So this weekend I finally built my Hackintosh and got most of the kinks worked out. It was my first desktop so it was a bit daunting but went smooth for the most part. I used all the parts from Tonymacx86's "CustoMacPro" list. I used the following parts:
- i7-4770K CPU
- Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H Z87 LGA 1150 2-Way SLI Dual LAN ATX Motherboard
- EVGA GeForce GTX760 SuperClocked w/EVGA ACX Cooler 2GB GDDR5
- Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz
- Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5-Inch
- Corsair Enthusiast Series CP-9020039-NA650W ATX12V v2.31
I'm using Mavericks and had a few issues. One was the "boot0" error which was from my SSD. This video cleared that issue up for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jmez9323CJI
It says it's for HDDs but it works on SSD's as well.
I had an issue with sound to which I just needed to use multibeast to reload a new build with everything I needed.
Now I'm having issues with my computer restarting even after shutdown. I have to manually shut it down. For the most part though it's running smoothly. If any newbies are considering a similar build I'll be happy to help with what I've learned in the process.
