Hey everybody. I'm trying to build my first Hackintosh, and it is not going well. I created a build from this list. I did the CustoMac mATX build using the following parts:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB SDRAM CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB
SSD: SanDisk Extreme II 120GB SDSSDXP-120G-G25
The actual physical build part was successful. I got everything put together correctly and it runs. From there, I followed these instructions from TonyMac. Everything runs smoothly up until step 4-4:
"4. At the Chimera Boot Screen, choose USB and hit Enter."
I do that, with verbose, and it does its thing. But it always hangs around the same point, but not for exactly the same reasons. Some of the problems I've gotten include "ATHR: Unknown Locale: 21" and "ErrorCode: 8877652". Every error I've encountered, I've Googled the remedy and done it, but then it hangs for a different reason. I've tried using -x, but it also doesn't help. I cannot figure out what to do from here.
Can anybody help me? I'm lost, and I'm feeling like I might be in over my head here. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.
