Objective: Detect my iphone 5s and iPad 4r with itunes to reset the firm ware.

Background:

•GA-P55-USB3 board, Mavericks using Tonymac's methods, using kext for USB3 from the latest multibeast.

•USB Bus ports shown in System Information (Profiler): USB Bus, USB Hi-Speed Bus, USB 3.0 Hi-Speed Bus. USB Keyboard, USB receiver, USB Printer detected already.

Test cases:

•Plugged in iphone to hackintosh USB 2.0 with lightening cable, does not charge, is not detected. System profiler does not detect idevice under USB ports.

•Plugged in iPhone different USB 2.0 Port, nothing is detected again.

•Tried again, a different USB 2.0 port. Same outcome

• Tried both USB 3.0 ports, same results.

•Tried the above test with iPad4r, same results.

•Repeated all steps with different lightening cable, no success, no detection of ipad OR iphone.

•Plugged in 3 different flash drived in all prior tested USB ports. All three flash drives detected. Wireless Mouse working, USB2 and USB3 ports and bluetooth dongle.

•Used wall adapter to charge iphone and ipad, both charged successfully with both cables.

•Tried connecting ipad and iphone to old macbook laying around (black macbook with old USB bus). Device is detected but does not charge device.

What do I even do, how do I even trouble shoot this? It's as if the computer USB ports don't even RECOGNIZE any device connected if the device is an iDevice. No response fomr the device OR computer in any form I can detect when I connect to the hackintosh. Literally, after I connect the idevice to the computer, nothing happens at all.

Any suggestion on how to even beging trouble shooting this further?
