I built my first PC a few months ago and I want to turn it into a dual-boot machine running Windows and OS X.

At the moment it has 200 GB of game files on a 1T physical HDD, and Windows taking up 49 GB of a 120 GB SSD.

I've been researching how to make a Hackintosh, but I need guidance on how I can keep my existing Windows settings and game files as I go through the partitioning (re-partitioning?) of the drives.

I bought a 1TB external drive to backup (mirror or image?) the existing files on both drives, but I'm a bit lost.

Do I just make two disk images on the external drive, one for the SSD and one for the HDD, and then format them both according to "make a Hackintosh from scratch" instructions?
