Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the Hackintosh scene and find myself stuck so any help at all would be very much appreciated. I've been trying to get a dual boot of Mountain Lion (to go with my Windows 7 install) on my custom build PC for the last few days and have hit a wall.
So I set up a ~300gb partition and managed to boot the installer and actually install OSX onto the partition using a USB. When I restart the computer after the install, Chameleon loads up (and displays both partitions correctly), but when I try to actually boot the newly installed Mountain Lion I get the spinning loading wheel for a few minutes and then it invariably tells me to restart. When I boot with -v it shows that everything loads fine until it gets to "[IOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed" and then it just kind of stops no matter how long I wait.
I've tried all the bootflags that I thought might help (-x -f, PCIRootUID=1/PCIRootUID=0, GraphicsEnabler=No/Yes, npci=0x2000, dart=0) and it always ends the same way, with the boot freezing up after "IOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed".
At my wits end I kind of just gave up and have just been running Mountain Lion through Virtual Box (which has been working fine), but the main reason why I was interested in setting up a Hackintosh in the first place was to do some iOS/XCode development and the performance handicap of a VM is definitely noticeable (Not to mention just plain stubbornness to give up on something I've already sunk so much time into messing around with.)
My computer is outfitted with:
-nvidia geforce gtx 650 (Graphics Card)
-Intel core i3-3220 (CPU)
-Asrock z77 extreme4 (MOBO)
-8gb of ram
Again, any help would be very much appreciated. I've done the google rounds already and haven't found anything that has helped so far and I'm a little bit lost at what my next move should be (if any.)
