Before I start, I will say this: I'm not new to hacintosh, I've successfully built several that worked amazingly well.
Now to the meat of the post. I have a lenovo y400, customized bios to enable more features and remove the WiFi whitelist. A co.patible WiFi card and seemingly compatible specs. (Ivy bridge i7, gt 650m, Intel chip set, etc)
But my problem doesn't have anything to do with getting stuff to work within the os, as I can't even get that far.
Every time I go to boot with the osx mavericks installer USB (made with unibeast method from another hack of mine), it loads up all the way to the point where it starts to load the installer GUI, then the screen goes black, fans spin up to max speed, then it shuts off and reboots.
Any flags I could try? Any ideas as to why this would occur? I've seen success stories on seemingly identical laptops, and have even been successful on other similar models (MSI g683-dxr). I'm at a loss here and would love to be back in the hack world
