Currently I am running OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 on my brand new Hackintosh/Windows 8 build. In order to make both operating systems speedy fast, I've installed them both on the same 120GB SSD.
As you all may realize, this doesn't leave the most space for applications to be installed to the native drive either side. Windows 8 isn't a problem because anything fast I can just install to the secondary HDD I have.
However, my question is: Is it possible to create a fusion drive with two different partitions on two separate disks? All the research I've done has resulted in two full drives being concatenated into one making the fusion drive.
Here's my arrangement
SSD | |
---|---|
Partition 1 | Windows 8 |
Partition 2 | OSX Mavericks |
HDD | |
---|---|
Partition 1 | Mac Journaled |
Partition 2 | MS-DOS(FAT) |
The second partition on the secondary drive is for installation of Windows apps and games. Pretty basic stuff.
