I've tried the rampagedev linked kexts, voodoo, all kinds of kexts. I've never modified a DSDT, so I don't know how to go about that, or if that is needed. I'm using the SMBIOS and mach_Kernel from the rampagedev also.
I'm using the optical SPDIF out. Audio plays for a half second or so, cuts out, plays again for a split second, then cuts in and out again a few times until it stays cut out, or until I play another stream. I don't know what it's like on the analog outs; I have nothing connected to them.
Also I get the sound assertion error AppleHDADriver at line 581 during boot, and it hangs there for a minute. When the AppleHDA.kext isn't in my extensions folder, it boots fast as hell. But with it there, it takes about 45 secs to get past this, then my keyboard is unresponsive at the login screen for about 20-30 seconds.
So close, yet so far away.
