I have been messing around with Hackintosh computers for a little while but have limited my use to mostly recommended hardware and guides from TonyMacx86. I have a pretty stable build running 10.9.1 right now but things aren't perfect. I am seeing more and more about Clover being posted on the various forums but don't fully understand what it is or how it works differently from UniBeast/Ch(ameleon)imera/MultiBeast.

Will a Clover install run better than the others?

Is it easier to maintain?

There doesn't seem to be much out there as far as guides for installing 10.9 with Clover. Is that because the required settings aren't as specific for each board or just not as many users?

I see something about vEFI for the graphics card? Is that necessary?

My current hardware:

MB: Asus p8z77m-pro CPU: i5-3570k GPU: MSI GTX-660

I am sorry if these are stupid question by The Google has been failing me.
