I've just installed OS X on a Z87N WiFi board, and system profiler is showing my 4670k Haswell i5 as running at 3.9ghz. At stock, this CPU should run at 3.4ghz.

It's in a mini ITX case, and only has the stock cooler, so I don't really want to run it at this speed.

Is this a case of System Profiler simply misreporting the speed of my processor? Do I need to change something in the BIOS (don't think anythings different from stock)? If not, is there a way I can take it back down - 3.4ghz is plenty for me!
