Hi, I have attempted at hackintosh and it was successful; it just wasn't the best of things. I decided to give up because it took up my time and it frustrated me how i had all these kernel panics and didn't know where to even start to fix it. It was already a miracle to get the damn thing installed and booted... on a freaken non-mainstream Motherboard and AMD cpu.
Which of course i still am running on:
MOBO: Pegatron M2N61-AR (Acacia) CPU: Athlon 64 X2 5400+ GPU: nVidia 220 GT
i know it is rather laughable specs, but i consider it a challenge of working with what you got. I'm not about to go spend money just to get OSX. That being said, I want my second attempt to work really bad. I started understand more about this so called DSDT and fakesmc.kext
However I still need deciphering what it all means. If i don't have a patch for my motherobard? How can i make my own patch? What is up with with all these things about compiling errors? If anyone can ELI5 what Fakesmc.kext that would be helpful.
Keep in mind: This thing can boot up... just a little on the slow slide. Ethernet was working, audio i remember worked. GPU was a no (but i didn't have time to look around on fixing it).
