Hey guys, I have been trying to hackintosh my Ivy Bridge E over a span of a few months, and now it finally works! Here's my specs and install "guide."
Specs:
- Intel Core i7 4960X
- 64 GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 RAM
- Plextor M5Pro SSD
- 2 2tb Seagate Barracuda HDDs
- 2 GTX 780s, one currently not installed
- Asus Rampage IV Extreme motherboard
Steps to hack:
- Download myHack from http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/.
- Follow RampageDev's myHack installation guide: http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/os-x-10-8-mountain-lion/ (for 10.9+, even though it says 10.8 mountain lion)
- Download X79 DMG from here: http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/dsdt-downloads/asus-x79/
- Make myHack disk as instructed by rampagedev's guide
- Download Multibeast: http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=219
- Copy Multibeast and X79 DMG to myHack drive
- Reboot into myHack drive to start install
- After install is completed, once again, boot from the myHack drive, only this time, arrow down to where you installed OS X.
- Finish install
- Reboot
- Install appropriate drivers for your system, install kexts manually (if you'd like via the X79 DMG with Kext Helper, under the Tools folder).
- Go into the Chameleon folder on the X79 DMG and copy SMBios.plist, org.chameleon.Boot.plist, and the modules folder to /Extra, (if you don't have an extra folder, create it).
Thanks to RampageDev and Shilohh of Tonymacx86 for all the help.
