Okay, so currently my setup looks like this:

  • Gigabyte Z-87N-WIFI

  • Intel 45670K

  • Asus GTX 760

  • Corsair 1600 2x4GB

  • Corsair 430w CMX PSU

  • M4 Crucial 128GB SSD = Fractal Node 304 Case

  • System definition: iMac 14,2

  • OS Version: 10.9.2

I'd like to upgrade my boot drive to a 256GB Evo Pro, for speed and capacity reasons. I'm pretty sure I know what i'm doing, but wanted to check in ahead of time. Is it simply a case of the following:

  • Boot as normal with new SSD in a USB case

  • Clone current boot drive via Carbon Copy Cloner (unless anyone can recommend another program?)

  • Replace old drive with new drive, boot from USB.

  • Re-install Chimera via Multibeast, leave everything else untouched.

  • Voila!

Am I doing anything horribly wrong here? Thanks in advance guys!
