Okay, so currently my setup looks like this:
- Gigabyte Z-87N-WIFI
- Intel 45670K
- Asus GTX 760
- Corsair 1600 2x4GB
- Corsair 430w CMX PSU
- M4 Crucial 128GB SSD = Fractal Node 304 Case
- System definition: iMac 14,2
- OS Version: 10.9.2
I'd like to upgrade my boot drive to a 256GB Evo Pro, for speed and capacity reasons. I'm pretty sure I know what i'm doing, but wanted to check in ahead of time. Is it simply a case of the following:
- Boot as normal with new SSD in a USB case
- Clone current boot drive via Carbon Copy Cloner (unless anyone can recommend another program?)
- Replace old drive with new drive, boot from USB.
- Re-install Chimera via Multibeast, leave everything else untouched.
- Voila!
Am I doing anything horribly wrong here? Thanks in advance guys!
