The questions:
- Do I need CPU cooling unit for this setup? (Not planning to OC)
- What's the difference between Ballistix Sport vs. " " XT? And why is faster RAM of the same brand cheaper? And can I use said faster RAM?
- I'm planning to dual boot Ubuntu and OSX...Any red flags? Can I get away with an SSD smaller than 120GB?
- Stupid but, I can obviously add a GPU later if I want to right? No need to do it right off the bat?
- Am I missing anything crucial?
- Anywhere that I could cut costs?
It's been a while since I've done any kind of computer surgery but I used to could so I don't see why not jump in.
I just sold my 2010 iMac off for $750, so I'm looking at this as a very, very cheap but major upgrade.
Then again maybe I should've just stayed home and upgraded my 4GB of RAM but where's the fun in that?
