Hi all,

I was planning on building a new machine about 6 months ago based on one of the golden builds, but that got slammed to a halt when I decided to drop a lot of money and go touring around Peru for a month (totally worth it).

Anyways, now that I'm getting my credit card paid down and will finally have a bit of cash flow again, I've started picking up on research again. I know I won't build it until Yosemite comes out. I'm building it as a secondary machine as my primary is a Macbook Air.

I'm planning on using it primarily for Virtual Machines and playing Diablo 3/Starcraft 2. I'm maxing it out at 32GB of RAM because some of the testing scenarios I'm doing require that I'm running up to 10 Virtual machines in either Windows or Linux at any given time. None of these are permanent, they are only for test environments to show how to set up things for a book I am writing.

Do you think that I will be able to run all of these without issue on a Hackintosh? Or would I be better off dual booting into Windows for doing that and just running Virtual machines off that? I ask because I know the VM stuff is super stable on Windows, but I'm not so sure on OS X.
