So I've installed Mavericks to a hard drive and went through the installation process as detailed in the documentation, but my computer won't get past Gigabyte's motherboard screen. The debug code for the motherboard is A2 (the manual refers to this as: "Detect and install all currently connected IDE devices."). I think the process installed successfully. I was installing Mavericks to the partitioned drive, saw it said two minutes remaining, stepped out of the room for a pee break, and when I came back my computer was on the Gigabyte motherboard screen. I assumed the installation restarted automatically after it was finished.
The computer boots fine to Windows if I unplug the other hard drive, and the USB still boots as long as the drive is unplugged. But I can't get Windows or the OS X disk utility to recognize the hard drive if I plug it back in after boot.
Any suggestions? I'm kinda stuck where I am right now, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
