Hey there fellow mates!
Some backstory for a better POV. TL; DR - lost my mac, apple too expensive
I had my beloved Macbook Pro mid 2010 (which was MILDLY upgraded) last month and I have to say, after spending s***loads of money on keeping that thing possible to run the things I do and work with it really put me in a position where I have to start looking for other options then to continue as a slave for Apple, even though I'm locked to their OS with the software and components I use.
Now! I wanna build a real beast to be able to run all day with heavy video and audio rendering and continues hours of gaming at night without loosing it's performance as fast as normal PC's would and I it must be a Hack as I stated above. I want to be able to boot both OS X and Windows 8.1, but I want OS X to be the standard boot.
I have spent a lot of days looking at all the different processors that Intel has launched since I've been busy with my 2,66 i7. And the XEON is looking real nice but since I'm for gaming as well I'm not sure I would be able to get the same performace from the XEON E5 family as I would from an i7 Ivy Bridge E if I'm gonna clock it.
I've put together a list of components that I figure would do a pretty good and upgradeable build. As this will be my first Hack-build I would like to ask you guys for all kind of help and feedback. I'm sorry that the site have to be in Swedish, but I think you would be able to figure out the components either way.
