I just ordered the ModMic4 (basically for Gaming on Windows with my dt880s) but of cause it will pretty much replace my t-bone sc440 (USB) on OSX as well (at least it should for everything "on the go"). Basically i got a 50$ cheap USB DAC earlier because my Motherboard wont get sound-compatibility. So really nothing special, but due to the fact i got an asus xonar essence stx (not running on osx aswell) i really didnt wanted to blow out even more money for audio on osx. I didnt considered the fact i might need a mic Jack in the future back then.
I do NOT need awesome quality it just has to run (without me being way to quiet and/or a ridiculus amout of static noise. Basically the cheaper the better.
If there is no way i can add some little USB device which will do that properly and i really have to replace my previously purchased USB DAC it is VERY important for me to get at least decent audio quality because i do listen to music a lot on OSX
