Hey there! I've come here hoping to get a bit of advice from the reddit Hackintosh community. I've gotten pretty interested in switching from Windows over to OS X. I love OS X, the layout and everything, I spent a fair amount of time messing around with it and checking it out on a friend's computer a while ago. But when I decided to build myself a desktop PC I wasn't really aware of the Hackintosh. So I guess the place to start would be asking about my build, and whether it will be compatible - or how I might go about finding that out.
My hardware:
CPU: Intel i-4770k CPU Motherboard: ASUS H87M-Plus GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 570 Soundcard: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
And I don't think anything else matters. The other thing I'm wondering is, does anyone use their Hackintosh for demanding audio production/editing or video editing? Do you have any latency issues? This would be a complete deal breaker for me. I have no problem with the occasional glitch, I've spend plenty of time messing around with Linux so I don't mind spending a bit more time getting everything working. I'm more concerned with the possibility that my computer will run subpar as a Hackintosh.
I tried checking out some other places but tend to only get answers like "That's illegal" or "Dumbass why would you build a hackintosh go buy a Mac" etc. So, any advice appreciated! Thanks guys!
