Hey guys!
So I'm putting together parts for a hackintosh now and I also wanna use Windows as well for gaming. Since I wanna be on the safe side, I was gonna go with separate SSD's for the operating systems, plus one HDD for data.
Now my questions:
Is this generally a good idea? Or am I better off partitioning one of the drives for both operating systems instead?
Does the order of OS installation matter in this case? Is this easier than using a partitioned drive?
I already read up on a few installation guides, so am I right in assuming that I have to set the OS X drive as first boot priority in the BIOS in order to be able to use the bootloader of Unibeast/Multibeast?
Any recommendations for the SSD's? I was gonna use two Crucial MX100 128GB since it only gets marginally cheaper to have smaller SSDs. It's still supposed to be a "budget build", so am I going overboard with two SSDs? I just figured it'd be easier and safer.
I appreciate your help!
Below is my configuration, just in case:
Gigabyte H97-D3H
Intel Core i5 4590 BOX (LGA 1150, 3.30GHz)
Crucial Ballistix Tactical (2x, 4GB, DDR3-1600, DIMM 240)
Club 3D R9 280X Royal Queen 3GB (3GB)
All in a Sharkoon T28 case.
