I'm currently looking for a laptop that i can dual-boot windows 8.1 and Mavericks/Yosemite on.
So far, i've gathered some info on the installation guide on tonycrapx86.com:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html
For best results with the latest 8-series motherboards and Haswell CPUs, remove all but 1 stick of RAM for the installation process. You can put back extra RAM sticks after post-installation is finished.
So i guess Haswell cpu's works fine?
According to this article:
http://www.skylineosx.com/hackintoshing-a-laptop/
A limited number of integrated graphics chips are supported. HD 2500, 3000, 4000, 4400 and 4600 are all working at this point. More may be supported in the future.
So, a cpu with 4600 HD should work fine?
I found this laptop that uses the intel i7-4710MQ cpu:
According to wikipedia, this cpu has the HD 4600.
The other specifications of this machine:
- CPU: i7-4710MQ cpu
- GPU: nVIDiA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB GDDR5 (Maxwell)
- Chipset: Intel HM87
Could this work?
Or is there perhaps a better pick among these machines:

Thanks in advance for all your help.
