My current build is pretty old so I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on this build below. I'm not new to hackintoshing, but it's been a while. No gaming, but I'd like the option of possibly dual booting Windows and running something like Skyrim.
I'm looking to build a general rig that can do video editing as well. I'm going to pull the 1TB drive out of my current build and reuse my existing keyboard, monitor, and mouse. I upgraded my RAM about 2 years ago, so I wasn't sure if it was something that I could carry over to this new machine or not instead of buying new. The specs sound similar. DDR3-1600 Ripjaw.
I think I may be overbuilding, but I want the machine to last for as long as possible with minimal workarounds for audio/graphics/etc... Do I really need the 760 or would a 750 work? I'd like to keep it under $1000 if possible but I'm open to suggestions for "more bang for your buck".
Thanks!
